Homework this week is linked to our Rainforest topic with a Geography theme! It should be completed carefully and to the best standard possible taking around 40 minutes.

This week’s choices are as follows:

Research the locations of the Amazon, Congo and Daintree rainforests around the world. Use maps, drawings and notes to show which countries are covered by these… Research the animals found in one of the world’s Rainforests. You might include sketches, notes, lists and images of these creatures and if they eat other rainforest animals. Research the rivers that run through the world’s rainforests. You should include a list of where the river runs, how long it is and the countries it travels through. See if you can find the start/end too.

Homework this week is to make a Roman shield ready for our visit from a Roman Roman Shield (Spr1 Wk6)Soldier and lady on Tuesday 23rd March.  This can be made from cardboard, an old box or a sheet of A4 card (which children can collect from school).

Homework this week is linked with our Geography trip to the village. The children have been thinking about what could improve the village even further. They have been considering what the village might need to help it become even more popular, such as a swimming pool, cinema, new type of shop, area to relax, leisure centre or even utilities such as a train station or sporting arena.

On the sheet provided, children should design a new building and complete the sections about why Stubbington needs it and what their new design can offer.
